Black Bean Protein Brownies

Beans in brownies? Say what?! YUP, that's right, these taste totally delicious, and no one would guess they’re healthy!
Black Bean Protein Brownies

Beans in brownies?! YUP.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can black beans (about 1.5 cups)
  • 1/2 cup LivWell Cacao Plant Protein
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup nut butter of choice 
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4-1/3 cup maple syrup (depending on your desired sweetness level)
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚ F. Grease an 8x8 baking pan
  2. Blend all ingredients in a food processor until forms into a smooth batter
  3. Spread the batter into baking pan and bake for 15-20 minutes. 
  4. Stick a fork in the center to see if it's ready if so, the fork should come out with no batter on it. 
  5. Let cool for 20-30 minutes before cutting into squares. Can be eaten immediately or refrigerated.
